The College of International Finance and Banking
Introduction
The College of International Finance and Banking (CIFB) prepares students to function in a professional environment. The curriculum is designed to teach you to think critically, sort through complexities, exercise judgment, communicate effectively and adapt to change – qualities considered essential in today’s competitive marketplace.
The four year degree programs offered by CIFB are flexible enough to allow students to pursue individual career objectives while receiving a broad general education. As a student, you will work with an academic advisor to plan a curriculum that reflects your individual interests and objectives.
Department of Finance
The coursework in the Department of Finance covers financial organizations, operational activities and reviews the global economic challenges related to financial management in companies, financial institutions and civil service. Graduates with a concentration in Finance generally start their professional careers in investment banks and management consulting companies, brokerage firms, insurance companies and real estate agencies.
Department of Banking
The comprehensive program in general banking and management at CIFB is specially designed to meet the needs of the banking industry. The curriculum provides a broad knowledge and understanding of banking functions and develops skills necessary for effective leadership and management within the industry. The curriculum reflects modern trends in the domain of finance, marketing and management.
Department of Insurance and Risk Management
The Department of Insurance and Risk Management at AUBiH is the first of its kind in Eastern and Central Europe. Standard actuarial coursework, such as mathematics, statistics, computer technology and operations research, is complemented by traditional business courses in economic theory, financial strategies, corporate risk management and public policy. The combination of training as an actuary with a general business theory and policy perspective means you will be prepared to operate in the rapidly changing legal, regulative, organizational and economic environment of the global workplace.
